However, he does say that Battlefield 6 will be a cross-gen, which will be “feature-limited” on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. He does not talk about all the other assumptions – that this game would be a sequel or a reboot in the Bad Company series. This is also what Tom Henderson is claiming, as well. Some people assume that the new game will have its action set in the modern-day because it makes sense after the other two games took place during the two World Wars. But you know how the internet is – full of rumors. However, there’s one game that won’t be featured, and that’s Battlefield 6, which won’t be out until next year. The Preseason 2024 promises to be a pivotal period for League of. Anton has exclusively leaked info about Horizon Zero Dawn on PC but it would not be the first time that reliable industry insiders have wrong info. We will see a big difference between next-gen and the current-gen versions, and it is all thanks to “technology difference.” The next period of time will be full of announcements of new games, which have been rumored for quite the time. 'Battlefield 6 is not what fans of the series would like it to be but plays well.' EA Battlefield 4: Final. With BF4, we started to see much larger structures involved in destruction through Levolution, yet even then the community was divided: a lot of players disliked how interesting gameplay opportunities such as those provided by the skyscraper in Siege of Shanghai were lost by reducing the tower to a boring pile of rubble.Battlefield makers will come with a great surprise for us with the next game. When DICE ported over a selection of BF2 maps to BF3 in the "Return to Karkand" expansion, they didn't bother adding destructable elements (except maybe glass panes and other minor details) to the unique landmarks like Sharqi Peninsula's TV station because it was either unfeasible or would have ruined the layout of those buildings. Making a wide range of different building types compatible with the new destruction feature would have been prohibitively costly, so they resorted to copy-pasting a handful of building designs for each map. ![]() You may have noticed how cookie-cutter the buildings felt in BC2 or its predecessor, the lack of unique architecture or varied cityscapes. The requirement for near-universal destruction also impaired map design in those early Frostbite titles. ![]() One can point to Arica Harbor in BC2 as an example of what unrestrained destruction leads to - a wasteland with little cover and open sightlines, a complete mess. A lot of that CoD>BF section of the playerbase have gone back to CoD and probably not gone back.ĭestruction is neat, sure, but it's not without its downsides. And since people have heavily bought into the CoD ecosystem with Battle Passes (and other MP shooters likewise) I doubt people will actually pick up BF again unless given a compelling reason. Cardi B is like promoting the new CoD season, Sports players promote everytime a new CoD comes out and play it early. I mean even on PC BF3 has a very low playerbase and people clamor for it?įeels like EA just wants to overtake CoD with this "ecosystem" but absolutely doesn't understand you need the cultural zeitgeist it is. The BF playerbase can't agree what makes a BF game and apologies being a douchebag but vast majority of people clamoring "make it like BF3" will just drop the game and go back to CoD, Valorant, CS:GO, Overwatch etc like every time a new BF game comes out. I'd rather if DICE did a Battlefront 3 and either a MoH reboot or Titanfall 3 under Zamp's guidance. Honestly I think Battlefield should be put to rest at this point for a long while and older games re-released (1942-BC2) in some form or manner as a MCC style release.
